This interactive session captures the personal reflections and leadership philosophy of Rt. Rev. Prof. Samuel Sunday Obeka (JP), Vice-Chancellor of Wesley University, Ondo, highlighting the convergence of leadership, faith, education, and sustainability in contemporary higher education. Drawing from his lived experience as a teacher, priest, and university administrator, the session presents leadership as a sacred trust rooted in integrity, humility, service, and accountability rather than position or authority. Prof. Obeka emphasizes that enduring leadership legacies are measured not by infrastructure or policies alone, but by lives transformed, values strengthened, and cultures of excellence sustained. Central to the discussion is the integration of faith and education, which he frames not as competing domains but as complementary forces. Faith provides education with moral direction, while knowledge deepens faith through critical understanding of society, creation, and human responsibility. This integrated philosophy underpins Wesley University’s commitment to character formation, intellectual rigor, and social responsibility. The session also engages sustainability as both a developmental and moral imperative, particularly within the African context. Prof. Obeka argues that genuine progress must preserve human dignity, environmental integrity, and ethical foundations, stressing that sustainability is inseparable from human capacity development and stewardship of creation. Through reflections on mentorship, servant leadership, and courageous decision-making, the session offers guidance to emerging educators, clergy, and leaders. Ultimately, the dialogue affirms a holistic vision of education that prepares graduates not only for professional success but for meaningful service to society, grounded in faith, wisdom, and responsibility to future generations.
