Annick Eimer

Annick Eimer is a freelance journalist with over 20 years of experience in science journalism for print, online and broadcast. She is editor of the DUZ – Magazin für Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft, a German monthly magazine focusing on Higher Education and Science Policies and editor of the scientific newsletter “Demografische Forschung aus Erster Hand” published by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. Her work has been published by Spiegel Online, die Zeit, der Freitag, Financial Times Deutschland, Deutschlandfunk and Westdeutscher Rundfunk. She holds a diploma in biology and worked for several Berlin based technology startups before becoming a journalist. She is particularly interested in international research policies and higher education policies. Questions that are driving her are: What role science plays in society?
